Nassau arrived at VINS in 2016 from Volunteers for Wildlife located in Locust Valley, New York. She had fallen out of her nest as a baby and suffered head and eye trauma from the fall. Unfortunately, she never fully recovered and remains unable to hunt for live prey on her own. VINS staff acquired her with the hopes of becoming a glove-trained Education Ambassador on campus, but Nassau showed no interest and proves to be a better Exhibit Ambassador.
