Marlboro
Corn Snake
Pantherophis guttatus
Marlboro was captive bred at the Southern Vermont Natural History Museum in 2008 and donated to VINS in 2009 and has become a wonderful education ambassador. Corn snakes are found in the forests of the southeast, where they climb trees and hunt for small rodents, eggs, and young birds. Vibrant orange scales and a bold pattern on their scales are what corn snakes are best known for, and the reason why they have become so popular in human care.
