Hawaii
Peregrine Falcon
Falco peregrinus
Hawaii the Peregrine Falcon was injured in 2008 when he flew into a wall on the island of Oahu, in the Hawaiian archipelago. The collision damaged his beak, and though veterinarians were hopeful he could regrow it with the assistance of a temporary, 3D printed prosthetic beak, he did not regrow enough to be able to properly feed himself in the wild. Hawaii came to live at VINS in 2017 and is a high energy, smart Ambassador!
